GREY FOX MASTERS WORKSHOP STAGE

(Thursday, Friday, Saturday)

Hazel Dickens spins yarns about her home and songs

This intimate and relaxed setting is where you’ll see dazzling instrumental and vocal demonstrations, mini-concerts and chats by your favorite bluegrass musicians. Each year we put together unique combinations of musicians—and the rest is history. They have a great time bouncing tunes off each other, answering questions and taking your requests. It’s off the cuff… It’s always different… And it’s always great.

The Russian Ranglers amaze the crowd

"My band played at the very first (Berkshire Mountains) festival in 1976. I recall us being first on stage for the Gospel Show that Sunday morning, and due to rain the previous night, the sound system could not be used. We did our whole set acoustically, asking the audience to hunker around the stage so they could hear the music as God intended -- pure and un-amplified."
