“A mystical musical precipitation of sparkly ideas from unknown planets.”
— Zarf Thwarks
World renowned as the reigning President of the Norwegian Ostrich Society, Rushad Eggleston shares with us a mystical, whimsical and untamed music from the land of Sneth (rhymes with Beth), where he’s known to hang out when not performing on Earth. At times curious and sneaky, often raucous, and always fun, the improvisational tones, enchanting melodies and driving rhythms that pour out from Rushad’s cello transport audiences into another dimension.
A Grammy nominee and cofounder of the influential New England ensemble, Crooked Still, Rushad is very much part of the Grey Fox Family. He is one of a legacy of gifted young musicians who received a Grey Fox scholarship — something that has, over the years, helped foster a number of professional careers in music. An astounding and daring athlete, Rushad is often seen climbing into dizzying heights up on the Grey Fox scaffolding, cello in hand!
Ear to the Ground:
The legendary goblin clown, writer of hit songs in other galaxies, Pentecostal dancer and inventor of bluegrass cello, will enchant kids of all ages at the Grey Fox Family Stage once again as he magically transforms the venue into The Land of Sneth. He’s also likely to make spontaneous mystery appearances, livening up other Grey Fox stages this summer with his delightful antics and serious musicianship.
