Grey Fox Kids Academy Tunes Now on Web

The tunes for the 2011 Grey Fox Bluegrass Academy for Kids are ready for download! The academy’s artistic director, master fiddler and renown instructor, Brian Wicklund, has picked three fine tunes for the students to learn and perform this year during Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival in Oak Hill, NY. The tunes are: Bill Monroe’s “Goodbye Old Pal” (complete with yodeling!) in honor of the Father of Bluegrass Musics’ 100th birthday; and the traditional “Rock the Cradle, Joe” and “Hole in the Ground.” To download the tunes, click on the following link: http://www.fiddlepal.com/workshops.html and then click on “Grey Fox Tunes 2011.”

2010 BGA Tunes Announced

The three main tunes for this year’s Grey Fox Bluegrass Academy for Kids are now ready for download. The tunes for 2010 are: “I’m Blue, I’m Lonesome” (D); “The Fox” (A); and “Soldier’s Joy (D).
