AJ Lee is a California-based singer, songwriter, and mandolinist best known as the frontwoman of AJ Lee & Blue Summit, a rising force in contemporary bluegrass. Emerging from the vibrant California Bluegrass scene and playing on stage since the age of 4, Lee developed a reputation early on for her expressive vocals, sharp musicianship on the mandolin, and ability to blend traditional bluegrass with folk, Americana, and roots influences. Her songwriting often explores themes of longing, resilience, and personal growth, delivered with a voice that balances clarity and emotional depth. AJ’s singing has often been described as a combination of Linda Ronstadt and Alison Krauss. With Blue Summit, she has toured extensively and earned acclaim for both studio recordings and energetic live performances, helping introduce a new generation of listeners to modern bluegrass while honoring its classic foundations. AJ Lee & Blue Summit are currently touring behind their 2024 release “City of Glass” and will be releasing an album of cover songs later this year.
