The Cross-Eyed Possum (Fri)

If you love the harmonies of Crosby, Stills & Nash and the inventiveness of The Punch Brothers, you’ll love emerging artists The Cross-Eyed Possum. This Prescott, Arizona-based trio consists of brothers Jason Howard (upright bass, vocals) and Jonah Howard (guitar, vocals), with Keenan Hammack (mandolin, vocals). They play with a single-microphone technique that showcases their tight vocal harmonies and dynamic instrumental skills. The group performs mostly original music written by the Howard brothers, inspired by a mix of the wide genres of music they grew up with (Americana, rock, bluegrass, folk), their jazz and classical university experiences, and their stories of life on the road. On the heels of their 2023 album “Out On My Own,” they have been touring nationally, playing at other major festivals such as Pickin’ in the Pines and the Huck Finn Jubilee, so we’re excited to get them here at Grey Fox.
