Get ready for some “klezgrass” magic when Ashville, N.C.-based Zoe & Cloyd make their debut at Grey Fox. Zoe & Cloyd are Natalya Zoe Weinstein and John Cloyd Miller, a husband-and-wife duo who play fiddle, guitar, mandolin, and banjo. They come from completely different musical backgrounds: Natalya is a classically trained klezmer and jazz musician from Massachusetts, while John is a 12th-generation North Carolinian and grandson of pioneering bluegrass fiddler Jim Shumate. Seasoned educators at Warren Wilson College, they create a unique and captivating sound that blends their traditions and styles. Their fifth album, “Songs of Our Grandfathers,” is a tribute to their bluegrass and klezmer roots and has received rave reviews from Bluegrass Unlimited, Bluegrass Situation, and their fans, of course. Your Bubbe and Earl would approve!

“If you appreciate fine songwriting, superb playing, and sweet harmonies, then Zoe & Cloyd deserve a place in your bluegrass collection. Give them a listen and you’ll be glad you did!”
