Americana Family Jamboree & Barn Dance

Music from the Great Americana Songbook springs to life in the strings and voices of Americana Family Jamboree & Barn Dance as they perform old time, bluegrass, folk, hillbilly, gospel, blues and more! There’ll be guitars and fiddles, banjo pickin’ too, so bring your dancing shoes and be ready to sing and dance with square dance caller Megan Downes of City Stompers leading the steps!

Americana Family Jamboree is an all acoustic music program led by Demolition String Band members Elena Skye and Boo Reiners that the entire family will enjoy — fun for kids but safe for grown-ups! Demolition String Band are longtime mainstays of the NYC roots music scene with many albums and tours in the US and abroad under their belt. Their Jamboree gets the kids engaged in fun, foundational music performed with fiddle, doghouse bass, banjo, mandolin, guitars and harmonies while parents share their love of classic, familiar songs while they learn new favorites. And dancer/instructor/caller Megan shows us all the moves while keeping everyone on their feet.
