Rainbow Family Songs: Brooksie Wells & Lisa Kay Howard

You’ll want a front row seat for this dynamic duo. Brooksie Wells is a well-known artist on the folk scene. Her latest album, ‘Stops Time,’ was No. 4 on the Folk Charts in the US, making it her third top ten album in a row. Guest artists on the album include Bruce Brown (Charlie Daniels’ Band), Ronnie McCoury and Frank Solivan. Brooksie wrote for years for Chappell Music, with several of her songs used in recordings and movie soundtracks. She also has a production company working on a movie about the life of Bill Monroe. While raising her kids, she performed for children and released ‘Pineapples, Butterflies, and Dinosaurs.’ She writes songs for little ones and invites them up to sing with her. Lisa Kay Howard (Valerie Smith & Liberty Pike and Level Best) accompanies Brooksie on beautiful mandolin and harmony vocals.
