Grey Fox Workshops / Seminars
Grey Fox is very much about learning. Learning to play better. Learning to sing. Learning how to jam. Learning to dance. Getting valuable advice from business professionals. Learning how to care for your instrument. Learning how to meditate. Even learning to be a clown.
Fun and enriching learning activities abound from opening day thru the weekend at several venues around the grounds:
Slow Jam Tent (aka Jam Central Station)
Jam Central Station, sponsored by The Wernick Method
Beginners welcome. Free student materials and coached small group jams. This is the place for beginning instrumental and vocal classes and slow jams with patient, user-friendly folks who teach the basics at a speed perfect for learning how to play and jam. Jam Central Station provides jam info handouts for all the students — and spectators — and Paul and Erin Dube teach 3 free Wernick Method jam classes each day, 2 hours per class, on Friday and Saturday afternoons.
Hands-On Workshops
Grass Roots Stage
Hands-on workshops and mini-concerts by top performers and instructors. In 2022, catch great workshops including great ArtistWorks teaching pros: guitarist Bryan Sutton and fiddle master Darol Anger. Bring your instrument and learn a thing or two that might take your playing and singing to the next level. Or just come and enjoy!
Meditation / Yoga / Dance
Catskill Stage (Dance Tent)
Possibly our most varied stage—from morning yoga and Appalachian dance instruction to your favorite bands in concert such as The Travelin’ McCourys, The HillBenders, Scythian, Gangstagrass, Donna The Buffalo, Nathan and The Zydeco Cha Chas, and many more. Plan to move your bones!
Kids Stuff
Family Stage
Kids of all ages enjoy tie-dying, instruments-making, and nature crafts, yoga for kids, and more. Daytime concerts by family-friendly bands, sing-a-longs, and dance parties give way to popular movies rated K for Kids! Fun abounds all day long.
